People In The Airport (continued)

Business travelers in their serious suits and somber faces with eyes cast down, punch the keys and hold tightly to their cellphones, laptops and tablets. Their tech toys are as precious as wedding rings on newlyweds.

Aged flight attendants huddle together and wait patiently to board the flight while checking out passengers they'll need to serve. They survey the crowd and privately bet on who will be annoying once boarded; and, who won't accept the beverage service. Pilots in their uniforms and impressive looking hats straighten their backs and walk tall among the crowd hoping to impress the waiting passengers with their importance.

Passengers eye sterotypical menaces who wear black hoodies, frowned faces and earphones. Individual presidential political views are guessed at based on clothing, skin color, ethnicity, facial hair and positions of baseball caps on heads. A plethora of mind treats.

People watching...entertainment for the mind. A feast for the senses.

The takeaway…

Imagination is a gift...not just granted to artists and designers. Used well, it can be fun. Used poorly, it can be scary. It's the answer to a child's cry of "I'm bored". It's exercise for the mind. It's ours for the using. BE Imaginative.
