Tilting My Hat To The Side (continued)

It was as though this head ornament ignited a cerebral impulse that straightened their posture, made them taller and helped them portray a level of confidence. Hmmm…where do I sign up?

I started with a school boy cap…adorable! My head was warm. It seemed practical and it worked for my hairstyle. So why didn’t I feel like what I perceived those other women felt? I liked the hat and I didn’t want to abandon it. After all, I was adorable. Looking at my image in the mirror, the idea came to me. Tilt it to the side! Who but a confident woman would tilt the brim to the side? This was my style. My shoulders straightened. I held my head higher. I walked with confidence and as I did, I could feel others admiring my swagger.

The takeaway…

Learning through your perceptions of others is helpful. Having the courage
to create your own style and build your confidence is growth.
