My Mother's Face In The Mirror (continued)

The physical and cognitive decline over the years has taken a toll on her. Despite this, you can still see some semblance of yesterday’s physical beauty.

Seeing my mother’s face as I looked in the mirror, reminded me that external beauty is temporary, despite the colors I apply to my lips. Real beauty is the demonstration of kindness, lending a hand, empathetic listening and inspiring others to reach unimaginable heights. Nurturing the internal beauty that shines everlasting is where I’ll continue to put my energy.

The takeaway…

Be kind to yourself and others. BE Beautiful.
